Local Government Elections to be delayed

Local government elections have been delayed to a date to be fixed in late April or early May as a result of the Premier,  Anna Bligh calling an election for March 24.    She said that she first wanted to go on March 3 but wanted to wait until after the Flood Inquiry final report which will be delivered on March 16th.

Don't enter flooded roads in your vehicle

Firefighters have warned that lives could be lost if motorists and residents continue to venture into flooded areas.    Floodwaters are treacherous and the dangers are hidden under the surface.

Man injured in industrial accident

A Mooloolaba man has been airlifted to the Royal Brisbane hospital from the Maleny Showgrounds on Monday January 23rd after treament at the Maleny Hospital for a serious injury to his arm.

Ebenezer Annual Art Show

An art event not to be missed is being co-ordinated by two Sunshine Coast Uni Students Emma-Louise from Caloundra and Hayley from Buderim with a little background help from the lovely Mim, also of Caloundra!  These two young ladies are determined to Make a Difference in the lives of the Ebenezer orphans and abused children in Livingstone Zambia.
