Rotary in Maleny 50 Years of Service

On 29 April 2009, exactly 50 years to the day after the inaugural meeting of the Rotary Club of Maleny, Sir Clem Renouf, 1978-79 President, Rotary International launched a book on the history of the Club.   The book was written by Club historian and archivist, Jack Wilcox. Describing the theme, the cover of the book has the message: ‘In 1959 the village of Maleny embraced the wide world of Rotary.

MDSRC Receives Funding for Precinct Business Plan

Member for Glasshouse Andrew Powell was advised this week by the Minister for Tourism and Fair Trade that the M.D.S.R.C. Inc had been successful in obtaining funding from the Gambling Community Development Fund to produce a Precinct Business Plan.

Reesville turnoff to get a major rebuild

A section of Kenilworth Road between Kings Lane and Lawrence Place is to be upgraded at a cost of approximately 2 million dollars.  This section of road is situated on the witta side of the Kenilworth Road i/s Reesville Road.
