PASTOR FRANK VAN OPHEM HONOURED

The efforts of our member, Pastor Frank, in having the Chapel developed at the Nambour District Hospital were recently recognised at a presentation ceremony.    Frankís dedication and recognition of the need for the Chapel was the force which drove him to finally realise his dream.     Our congratulations Frank.

All the Chapel furniture shown in the photo, including the plaque Frank is holding, was constructed by our Club members and has drawn very favourable comment from Chapel attendees.

VALE PASTOR FRANK van OPHEM

Sadly our past member Pastor Frank passed away recently on a trip to the UK.    He had a close association with our club through the development of the Chapel at the Nambour Hospital.     He had suffered from cancer and was in remission, which prompted his trip to the UK.    Unfortunately he suffered from a brain tumor which proved fatal.

President Ken has penned a tribute to Frank which has been placed on our notice board.
