Fire  Permits

Fire Wardens control the use of fire through the issue of Permits to Light Fire.

Permits are used to:-

Dictate the conditions under which the permittee can light the fire. (In this way, the Fire Warden performs a public safety role for the community.)

Permits undertake a community awareness role, by advising owners and occupiers of the conditions under which a fire can be lit, recommending safety precautions surrounding the lighting of fires for the protection of homes and assets.

Permits are used by authorities to control the use of fire in their designated areas.

Permit to Light Fire can be granted or rejected by the Fire Warden depending on the weather conditions and the prevailing fire conditions..

Permits May contain appropriate conditions of safety to light a fire.
