Toastmasters History
Maleny Toastmasters was chartered (20 members required) on 21st July, 1990, and will shortly be holding its 400th meeting.
The club was sponsored by Nambour Toastmasters, and its first President was Rosemary Wright. We belong to Area 22, Central Division, District 69.
District 69 covers the Northern Territory, Queensland and as far south as Lismore in N.S.W.
Toastmasters also learn how to run a business meeting, introduce speakers, present poetry and prose readings, and very importantly, learn how to listen.
We have Toastmasters from Landsborough, Glenview, Maleny, and near district, Montville, Mapleton
