Access is easy either by private car north from Brisbane on the Bruce Highway, a modern four lane highway all the way. Public transport such as a regular bus service from Roma Street Rail Station in Brisbane or the Brisbane domestic and international airports or modern train service to Landsborough or Caboolture then a linking bus service. A Day trip departing Caloundra - to Landsborough, Glasshouse Mountains - through to Maleny - Montville - Mapleton (lunch at the famous Mapleton Hotel with the Pickerings) through Nambour then returning to Caloundra via the Ettamooga Hotel at Aussie World, Glenview. Hire a motor boat at Golden Beach and take a picnic lunch across to the northern end of Bribie Island. Walk the long clean sandy beach on the ocean side to the old WW11 gun emplacements. Live a little of the military history of Bribie Island. A day trip to Maroochy Beach then onto Maroochydore and along the Coastal route through Pacific Paradise to Coolum, Sunshine Beach, Noosa Heads, the Noosa National Park then onto Tewantin. Enjoy lunch at the Tewantin RSL Club in the heart of Tewantin. Then return to Caloundra down the North/South Motorway. Sunday horse racing at the Caloundra Race Club to the west of Caloundra City. A game of golf at the Greg Norman designed, "Pelican Waters Golf Course" is available just 5 minutes drive from this Unit. |

This unit is a two bedroom unit providing for 4 people situated on the waterfront at Golden Beach, Caloundra overlooking the Pumistone Passage. It is situated on the second floor of a block of six units, most of which are owner occupied. There is an ensuite attached to the main bedroom, main bathroom, internal laundrette, kitchen and lounge/dining room outside of which is a balcony overlooking a park and the waterfront and views to Caloundra City. Colour TV and DVD player are standard equipment. From the front balcony there is an easy look over the northern end of Bribie Island and the Caloundra Bar. Out the front door there are kilometers of walking paths along the Caloundra waterfront. A brisk walk of a couple of kilometers sees you in the main street of Caloundra City. For the person enjoying water sports or fishing it is at the front door. Situated close by are restaurants, hire boats for both sailing and fishing, shopping areas, childrens playground and Service Clubs - most of which have patrons busses for pickup and transport to the various clubs. For a holiday - quiet and relazing, water sport orientated or just good shopping - Caloundra City has it all |
