Swan Street, Beerwah Unit Application
by Cameron Outridge

An application has been lodged by LD Developments Pty. Ltd to construct units on the corner of Swan Street and Beerwah Parade reported Councillor Anna Grosskreutz last week.   “A number of residents have raised concerns regarding traffic movement in Swan Street and are wishing to write a submission to the council planners,” she said.   “This can be done by writing down your thoughts on this matter and sending the letter to the council addressed to The Chief Executive Officer, Caloundra City Council, P.O. Box 112, Caloundra 4551 and quoting the file number 2003/51-2.

“The file relating to this development application can be viewed at the customer service centre in the Administration Building,” she said.

Council Customer Service Extended in Beerwah

Caloundra City Council’s customer service officers will be located at Beerwah District Library on Thursday May 22 from 10am to 4.30pm to take payments during the water discount period and also to record any requests for services.

The staff will also assist where possible with regard to questions residents have on the wide variety of services the council provides.

Mobile Library Petition

Thankyou to the Friends of the Library for placing the petition to upgrade the wornout Mobile Library Bus in each township.

The petition was submitted for referral to the Director of City Assets.

The contents now form part of the budget discussions which the council are shortly to commence.
With 715 signatures it was a well supported petition.

Our thanks once again to Cameron & Tanya Outridge
of the Range News Newspaper for this story.
