Farmer Tony gets a helping
hand from preschoolers

Mapleton preschoolers were visited recently by Farmer Tony from Stanley River Environment Education Centre. Farmer Tony helped the children develop an understanding of the importance of the sun, sun protection, healthy eating habits as well as the food chain. The enthusiastic students then helped Farmer Tony by making him a scarecrow for his corn paddock and they also discovered that cows give us milk, from which cream, butter, cheese, yoghurt, ice cream and custard are made.
