appear at Folk Festival
by Simon Roper
The 18th annual Woodford Folk Festival will go for six days from Monday December 27, 2004 to Saturday January 1, 2005. Over 2000 local, national and international performers will appear at the Festival with 400 performances spread over 20 plus stages and venues. Thirteen licensed bars, 45 food venues and 116 craft and merchandise vendors will also be featured at the Festival.
Programs include children’s, murri, film, concert, dance, ecology, health and wellness, political awareness, comedy, theatre, circus and craft. On-site camping, amenity blocks with toilets and showers are available.
There is free parking and a shuttle available from the Caboolture Railway Station. The newly revised Woodford Folk Festival website, www.woodfordfolkfestival.com, will allow visitors to peruse the program in depth, from the comfort of their own home.
Features include the ability to access detailed and up-to-date program information, artist biographies, performance details, venues and more. Visitors can search for their favourite performers, see a specific day’s program, check out a venue or search by genre.
The online program is updated as new information becomes available. Also available online are detailed descriptions of venues and maps.
