Funding
for Conondale and
Glenview State Schools
by Cammeron Outridge
State Member for Glasshouse Carolyn Male MP welcomed the Beattie Labor Government’s announcement this week of funding of $133,542 towards new facilities at Conondale State School and Glenview State School. The funding comes under the Smart Schools Subsidy Scheme. Carolyn Male said Conondale State School will receive $101,571 to construct a covered outdoor learning area.
“The $158,000 project, supported by funds from the P&C, will be used for assemblies and a range of other student activities,” she said. Glenview State School will receive $31,971 to build a new sports oval, Carolyn Male said. “The $50,275 project, supported by funds from the P&C, will include new shade structures, seating and fencing.”
Carolyn Male said the Smart Schools Subsidy Scheme helps schools undertake innovative capital works projects that involve the community and are not otherwise funded under the Capital Works Program.
