Tina Cooper wins accolades
at Palazzo Versacs

by Cameron Outridge

Maleny’s international glass artist Tina Cooper has rubbed shoulders with royalty while introducing her latest exhibition Soul Essence ... 3 Forms at Palazzo Versace.

The glittering exhibition was opened by Mrs Peter Hackworth amidst an elegant cocktail evening attended by international and local admirers and collectors.  Tina made waves by attracting important admirers such as the Prince of Dubai, John Singleton and Alan Jones as well as the Princess Anguin who put on a champagne party on the rooftop of her magnificent Penthouse in appreciation of Tina’s artistic talents.

The collection was described as “breathtaking.”  Amongst the notable locals who added to their large Art Collection was Gretel and Stuart Pickering. “It was quite overwhelming to receive such wonderful accolades from so many international visitors,’’ said Tina.  A bottle of 1988 Moet Chandon Champagne was presented by Nittoo Ahluwalia as an expression of his admiration for Tina’s Collection.

Tina will now take a well deserved break to consider the many interesting overseas offers.

As a Maleny resident artist the inspiration for all is apparent.  Tina summed up the event by saying, “I wish to thank everyone that has supported me on my journey.   I do believe the magic carpet ride is about to begin.  In admiration to my team Karl Jeffrey, David Good, Mat Quirk, Colin Crawford, it is with their assistance that we are all able to create the Hot Dance of Glass.

Many thanks guys, we did it.”  The Exhibition is now available to be viewed at Tina’s Gallery at Shed 5, Lawyer Street Maleny.

An example of Tina’s stunning work. Tina Cooper.
