Waste
Treatment invention
to be highlighted on TV
by Cameron Outridge
Maleny inventor Dean Cameron will present his Biolytix Filter on the ABC television program The New Inventors on Wednesday, June 30 at 8pm.Mr Cameron, with the help of a research and development team, spent 11 years inventing and developing the worm-inspired filter. It was selected for the show from over 700 inventions. “It has already received the best results in the world for the most compact waste treatment system’” said Dean.
The Biolytix demonstration consists of a unit dissected in half lengthwise and fronted with glass – so that you can see all the worms and other organisms performing a miracle – turning sewage and food scraps into humus and clean water. Biolytix has the patent to use the humus that is created by the worms as the filter to clean the wastewater.
Each week the TV show highlights three patented inventions and a panel of judges selects the best one. Viewers then vote for “The People’s Choice”.
For more information about the Biolytix visit their website: www.biolytix.com or phone 54 352 952.
