The Hibiscus Bowling Club from the Hibiscus Retirement
Village at Buderim visited the Maleny Bowls Club
on a sunny but extremely windy day on July 10th, 2005.

The Hibiscus leisure village at Buderim have a great way
to spend some quality time - their monthly game of bowls.

The difference between this club and a regular bowls club is
that the Hibiscus Club has no green of their own as they are
happier travelling around the state to play on other club's greens.

With their own comfortable coach to travel in there is
no great mystery why their club is so popular.

For a good game of bowls they will travel where ever their desire takes them.

They have become regular visitors to the Maleny Bowls Club
and have already pencilled in their next visit.

Photo above shows that from whatever angle all bowlers took the game to heart.
Enjoyable as it may be all players were aware that a "sheep station" was up for grabs.

Who said that it was not being taken seriously.....

Photo Left shows Les Bennett;
taking great interest how his
bowl was travelling.

Photo right shows spectators
encouraging those playing
in spite of the blustery
winds and a fast running green.

The high winds took a toll, not only on the bowling but on the comfort zone....

Maleny Bowler Mike Smith.

examining the lay of the bowls.
He is comforted by a "handy"
bowls helper - "a stubbie"

A section of the green shows that the visit was a popular day for a great game of bowls.

One of the friendliest Bowls Clubs you will find anywhere....
