Grower's Markets are becoming more and more popular and the Maleny area has taken this type of markets to their hearts.
The Old Witta School, Witta Road, Witta has been an integral part of the history of the area. Over the last few years since closure the school has become more of a community centre. The grounds provides plenty of parking and under the shade trees is a great place to have a family picnic and enjoy the market facilities at the same time.
A further step forward is the commencement of a grower's market at the school. The first day of this new market is Saturday November 17th.
Co-ordinator, Pat Fuller said, "With over 30 stalls operating on the first day there will be a large range of locally produced products available, direct from the producer. Some of those products include fresh organic vegetables, home made cakes and biscuits, jams, natural skin care products, soaps and many other household needs."
Why not go along to join in the excitement of the first market and take in some of the history of the Witta area at the same time.
