Namtec’s Mentoring Young people “At Risk” Program “ACCEPTANCE” is seeking community minded males to volunteer 2 to 3 hours of their time per week to meet with young people in our community to develop a trusting and safe friendship in order to support them in making meaningful and law-abiding decisions Young people who are at risk of or involved in the justice system often need extra assistance and encouragement in order to re-integrate back into their community.
Healthier choices and a reduction in youth offending is evident when young people develop relationships with people who believe in their potential and can offer a caring, friendly ear.
All mentors will be invited to attend a free 3-day training course prior to commencing the program to ensure they have the necessary skills and confidence to deal with young people.
If you would like any further information about this program please feel free to call Mark or Michelle at Namtec on 5441-1559 or Email: mentoring@namtec.org.au
