For years Maleny-Kenilworth Road has been in poor condition and have
not kept up with thr ever increasing volume of traffic flow.

It might be 94 years since the ANZACS took those first steps onto ANZAC Cove in what was to be the fight to save the Commonwealth as we then knew it. It turned into a tragic battle for the young Australians that took that step so that the people of Australia could remain living in a free world.

An inspection of Baroon Pocket Dam at Maleny on Easter Sunday revealed that the dam is presently overflowing with rain continuing in the catchment area. Baroon Pocket Dam was constructed to provide water for coastal Sunshine Coast residents by the then Caloundra and Maroochy Shire Councils.

Queensland’s Cacer Council is holding “Australia’s biggest morning tea
on Thursday May 28th. This is the sixteenth year for this
fundraiser. One Australian is diagnosed with cancer every 5 minutes,
but with the Cancer Council Queensland’s Australia’s Biggest Morning
Tea coming up this May, it could take as little as 5 minutes to help
save a life.
