Local member for Glasshouse, Mr. Andrew Powell will be “walking the walk” on Wednesday May 18th to support the Chaplains programs at both the Conondale State School and Maleny State School.
He
will be walking the 35 kilometres of the Maleny-Kenilworth Road in his
electorate - from Little Yabba Creek to Maleny. Last year he walked
the same route to draw attention to the appalling state of the road.
This year the walk has a double meaning, that of assisting the
chaplaincy programs and again to highlight the need for urgent upgrades
on this key hinterland and tourist route.
He is asking local residents to sponsoring him by either paying an
amount per kilometre (i.e. $1/km equates to $35) or to make a donation
in support of this great cause.
Payment can be arranged in a couple of ways:
You can send a cheque made out to the "Scripture Union Chaplaincy Fund"
and mail it to the member’s office at PO Box 727 MALENY Q 4552; or make a
payment via the Scripture Union (SU) website, www.suqld.org.au.
As he will be supporting both Maleny and Conondale Chaplains donors can
specify which way donations are directed.

- Under 'Welcome' on the left hand side you will see 'Donate Online'.
Once this is selected, click the third option 'Choose a particular
Chaplaincy etc' then follow the prompts.
You will also see here when you can print
the downloadable form for credit card payment by mail.
