The driver of a truck carrying long lengths of roofing iron had a lucky escape on Friday August 27 th at about 3.30p.m.
The driver was unloading the roofing iron to a building site in Tulipwood Court, Maleny when the stablising legs on the truck mounted crane gave way in the soft ground.
The truck came to rest on the jib of the crane saving the truck from rolling onto its side thus saving it from sustaining major damage.
Local salvage operator, Ross Hooper was able to return the truck onto its wheels and the driver was able to continue on his way.
No persons were injured in this incident and only minor damage was caused to the truck.
