An
art event not to be missed is being co-ordinated by two Sunshine Coast
Uni Students Emma-Louise from Caloundra and Hayley from Buderim with a
little background help from the lovely Mim, also of Caloundra! These
two young ladies are determined to Make a Difference in the lives of the
Ebenezer orphans and abused children in Livingstone Zambia.
Emma-Louise has actually been to the Ebenezer Child Care Trust 2009 after working part time whilst a high school student to pay for her own fare.
A fabulous art/photography exhibition is being held as a fundraiser for these children. Some local artists are donating their works for a silent auction, whilst others will be show casing theirs for sale.
As well as this being a great cause to support disadvantaged kids, it is equally a great event to encourage young budding artists and therefore there will be a $200 art voucher prize for the best art exhibit in this section.
Not only are we inviting the general public to attend this fun event, but also young budding and experienced artists to contact us to exhibit their art.
This family friendly event is going to be exciting with live music including a sausage sizzle, delicious finger food, tea, “Coffee Bella Coffee” and soft drinks will be available for sale.
It will be held at the City Life Baptist Church, 7 Gregson Place, Caloundra between 4pm and 7pm on Saturday February the 11th, 2012.
Emma recently handed over $1940 to the Friends of Ebenezer at their last Bush Dance to be used for work at the Ebenezer Orphanage in Livingstone, Zambia. Entry is by a Gold or Fold donations.
