Light Horse.

| Member for Fisher Peter Slipper has his house assessed for energy and water use by Ross Smith of Eco-Fit Australia.
| One of the local assessors, Ross Smith of Eco-Fit, agreed to donate $20 to the Maleny Light Horse for each assessment generated through Mr Slipper’s columns. “This was a generous offer that has ensured that local residents are taking up the offer for a free home energy assessment, while also benefiting a wonderful community organisation. It’s a win-win situation,” Mr Slipper said. Mr Slipper, the Federal Member for Fisher, said the free are now available under the “Green Loans Programme”, and provide homeowners with a report that outlines recommendations for improvements to household energy and water use. “This is an opportunity for local homeowners to get an idea of where they’re at with regards to energy and water use, and get advice on how they can improve, which can in turn help save on power and water costs,” he said.
