As
from Monday 26 December 2011 and continuing until Sunday 8 January 2012
the Sunshine Coast Council and TransLink, will be providing free travel
on all public bus services across the Sunshine Coast.
This initiative is to be funded from the council public transport levy of $20 annually which is included in the yearly rates on all rateable properties.
The free bus programme is a great opportunity to try out public transport services along the Sunshine Coast even if you are not going christmas shopping.
The free services include:
* TransLink’s Sunshine Coast Sunbus services * Glasshouse Country Coaches (Hinterland Connect and Maleny-Landsborough-Beerwah services) * Flexilink services (Boreen Point to Tewantin, Conondale to Witta to Maleny, Kenilworth to Mapleton and Peachester to Beerwah) * Council Cabs.
Timetables for Sunbus services are available from the TransLink website or phone 13 12 30.
For Glasshouse Country Coaches, Council Cabs and Flexilink timetables visit council’s website or phone (07) 5475 7272.
