Did you know that Lifeline
nationally answers more than 1,250 calls a day from Australians needing
support? Lifeline’s 13 11 14 service is staffed by trained volunteer
telephone counsellors.
On the Sunshine Coast we have 100 dedicated volunteers who give of their time to help people who are hurting. Lifeline counsellors answer approximately 1000 calls a month and could double that to help meet the demand to the service.
Lifeline is in need of telephone counsellors and are holding a day and evening training course at Lifeline’s Client Services Centre, 37 Duporth Avenue, Maroochydore starting on 29th July. The cost of the course is $400 or $350 concession.
For an opportunity to give to the community and also gain some great communication skills please phone 5409 2633 weekdays for a brochure.
