Lost boy found cold and wet but safe |

Cambroon Forestry area at the Booloumba Creek Camping
area between Conondale and Kenilworth became a search area after a boy aged 10 years went missing at
about 5p.m. on Wednesday July 6th. The boy had been walking with a
group of friends when he walked off the track and became lost.
A search was commenced at dusk by Police, Police dog
squad and volunteers from the Kenilworth State Emergency Service group conducted ground and aerial searches. This area is a well-known walking area for bush walkers.
The boy was found by an SES at about 12.30a.m. by SES members who found him on one of the walking tracks. He was safe and well,. but cold and wet. Temperatures in the area during the night had dropped to below zero.
