In
a letter dated September 7th the Maleny Credit Union announced a vote
on the appointment of Directors at the forthcoming AGM to be held on
October 8th, 2011 at 10.30a.m. at the Maleny RSL hall.
The MCU Board has to have at least six directors and up to ten, however at this point only four have been nominated and accepted as just nominations.
The four who are expected to be appointed as directors at the next AGM are;
Luke Berry, John Duthie, Terry Scolari and Robyn Grivell.
The new board which will be elected at the 2011 AGM has the power to appoint casual or additional directors.
The 2011 AGM is possibly one of the most important annual meetings following the defeat of the possible merger with CUA by members.
This incoming board and directors will have the task of ensuring that the MCU remains not only solvent, but successful into the foreseeable future. Their actions will be an important step towards ensuring members assets.
All particulars and meeting rules about the upcoming 2011 AGM are available on the MCU web site which is www.mcusb.com.au
