Maleny Dairies milk recall! Chemicals not the problem!
Following a recall on dairy products manufactured by Maleny Dairies with a best by date of October 24th there appears to be an answer.
It was first thought that there may have been a contamination of the product with some non-harmful food grade cleaning fluids.
The results of testing has come back and cleaning fluids and other chemicals have been ruled out.
A Maleny Dairies spokesperson said, “The taste has been traced to the cows munching on too much clover in the hinterland pastures.”
This voluntary product recall has cost Maleny Dairies $50,000.
