A Maleny motorcyclist was injured when the motor cycle he was riding crashed into another vehicle on Landsborough-Maleny Road, Maleny at about 8.15p.m. on Sunday January 24th.

The 21-year-old motorcyclist was transported to the Nambour General Hospital where it was revealed that he had suffered multiple fractures to his right leg, left arm and a laceration to his chin.     His injuries are not life threatening.

The motorbike then burst into flames as a result of the accident and was destroyed by fire.

Investigations are continuing into the cause of the accident.        Police later said that early indications are that the driver of the other vehicle didn’t give way when leaving private property.
