Mt. Tibrogargan claims another life |

With
the aid of a rescue helicopter volunteer members of the Glasshouse
Emergency Service group and police recovered the body of a young woman
from the sides of Mt. Tibrogargan in the Glasshouse Mountains on Monday
September 12th.
The woman had been climbing the mountain on September 9th when it appears that she fell down a cliff of about 80 metres. The woman had been climbing alone when she fell.
A SES volunhteer who had been attending a training course on September 9th when un-attended backpack was noticed at on the mountain. Police were subsequently advised.
A search was commenced, but was called off late on that afternoon because of poor weather and fading light. The search recommenced on the following morning.
Police have not released further details of this incident.
