Emergency
crews were called to the site of a crash involving a petrol tanker on
the Maleny Kenilworth Road approximately two kilometers west of
Conondale at about 12.30pm. on Tuesday October 18th.
Luckily the diesel mini-tanker did not erupt into flames as a result of it rolling onto its side after the driver lost control on a curve in the road.
The driver of the tanker, a 50 year old male received serious head injuries in this incident and was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
Following the accident he had trouble exiting the truck’s cabin but was out by the time that emergency service crews arrived.
No other person was injured in this incident.
