Sunshine Coast exporters are
invited to attend a FREE function with Australia’s new trade
commissioner to the USA, said Member for Fisher Peter Slipper.
The gathering with Mr Nigel Warren, who takes up the position of Australian Consul General and Trade Commissioner in San Francisco in July, will be held at Mr Slipper’s Maroochydore electorate office on Tuesday July 21.
This is an opportunity for local exporters and would-be exporters to discuss trade issues and opportunities with Austrade’s new trade commissioner to the USA.
Since 2007, Mr Warren has been Australia’s Senior Trade Commissioner Latin America, based in Santiago, Chile. In July, he takes up his new position as Consul General and Trade Commissioner to the San Francisco Bay area and Pacific Northwest region of the USA.
He also still maintains strong business contacts in South America.
Businesspeople who attend the function will have the opportunity to provide a one-page summary of their business and its export goals, which will be collated and presented to Mr Warren to take with him into his new position.
For details about the function and to RSVP, contact Richard in Mr Slipper’s electorate office on 5443 3555.
