The Sunshine Coast Real Food Festival will be  on September 12th & 13th starting at 9am each morning at the Maleny Showgounds.     There will be a large range of activities, many of which are interactive to attract and keep entertained the festival goers.

With summer approaching one event that is sure to be popular is the cob building workshop hosted by Sunshine Coast company, Rockcote.   This is a simple, but amazing addition to any entertainment area and can by completed by any D.I.Y’er.

The Real Food Festival is encouraging everyone to bring along their children and participate in activities connecting them to local growers and producers and will feature a range of activities including local Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden school kids helping children re-use a biodegradable coffee cup by filling it with potting mix and a seedling to take home.

The Rockcote Wood-fire Pizza Oven workshop will run in two parts from 10.30am – 2.00pm on both the Saturday and the Sunday including making your own pizza for lunch.    Cost is $30+GST per person each day.

Real Food Festival Director, Julie Shelton said     “This years festival line-up demonstrates just how much the Sunshine Coast food industry and the festival is evolving.”

Tickets costing $20 per adult will be available at the Festival gate.
