The
Sunshine Coast Council is offering two hour cruises of the Pumicestone
Passage at a discounted price of $12.50 on May 18th and 25th. These
cruises are aimed at raising awareness and community stewardship of this
internationally protected site.
Those on the cruises will learn about the species that call the passage home, the pressures, the history and the work that’s being done by Council and the community through the Pumicestone Passage and Catchment Action Plan. For instance did you know that approximately 80% of the passage is less than 2 metres deep and that is a declared fish habitat area.
The cruise will include a morning or afternoon tea and leaves from the Power Boat Club
