It’s that time of the year again when Council encourages you to apply for grant money for your clubs.
Community groups and individuals who might need funding for a sporting event, science trip, musical tour, school shading, or any other ‘cultural’ activity should attend the council information session/s.
The three grant programs available are:
* Community Grants for specific projects
* The new Community Partnership Funding Program (for organisational costs for up to three years)
* The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF). (specifically for the arts)
To find the session that is closest to you at an appropriate time check out the Sunshine Coast Council website on www.scrc.qld.gov.au then click on the “For Residents” tab and you will see Grants on the drop down list.
If you don’t have a computer at home you can look on the council website at your local library – Free classes are held there regularly to learn how to use the internet.
There you will be able to see who previously won grants, and you might be surprised to find that you are eligible.
