Sporting facilities in Maleny are all well used and are important local assets to our community. Why would someone wantonly damage them?

Many hours of hard labour and a lots of community money is spent in providing the best possible facilities for our use.
There will always be somebody though to misuse the facilities provided.
Between the hours of 9.30am and 10.00am on Sunday February 28th the driver of vehicle used the Maleny Rangers Soccer Club fields at the Maleny show-grounds as a skid pan.
As a result of the heavy rain the night before the fields were very wet and soft allowing deep wheel ruts to deface the field.
Maleny Police are investigating this matter. Anyone with information is asked to contact either Maleny Police or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
