Conondale charity auction raises over $5800 for Lurl Claxton |

The Conondale Charity Auction held at Conondale State School last Saturday was a brilliant success, exceeding all expectations of raising the initial wish figure of $1000.
Range and valley residents turned out in droves to support the Conondale Charity Auction in aid of raising funds for
| Conondale State School principal Adam Vlieg, Kevin Smith, Ode Claxton-Smith and year six/seven teacher Tom Gray.
| Conondale school community member Lurl Claxton, who is suffering from breast cancer. A total of $5813.89 was raised on Saturday from auction proceeds, the studentrun carwash, cake stall and white elephant stall.
A huge thank you goes to the local business who donated to make this fundraising venture an outstanding success. These include Gary Myers, Maleny Hotel, Maleny Newsagency, Thrifty Link Garden Centre, Holden Gallery, Maleny Photo Lab, Bowerbird of Maleny, Aussie Autographs, Dave Phillips, Kenilworth Butchery, Maleny IGA, Hollow Log Homes, Cansurvive, Rosetta Books, Conondale Swimming Pool committee and Brush Turkey Enterprises.
The Conondale school community would like to thank all the bidders who made the day not only a huge financial success, but also participated in a magnanimous sharing of community spirit.
