Mia cracks $1 million sales for local company

Mia Whiteoak was employed by Transportable Shade Sheds just over eight months ago and has already blitzed this male dominated industry with over a million dollars in sales. Few females, let alone a self confessed fashion lover and style queen, work in this field especially after working in the fashion industry.

This was very evident to Mia when she attended a golf day sponsored by a major steel company. Mia stepped out on the golf course with 160 males who were representing steel companies and other shed manufacturers from South East Queensland. But, not to be intimidated, Mia was proud to stand out and is very excited about her future in this industry.

The 26-year-old never wants to be considered as one of the crowd so it's no surprise that a Peugeot 307cc caught her eye at the Nambour Show. "I love the style, the wow factor, that car is just so me." said Mia. Mia then approached her employers for a company car upgrade when she reached the million dollars goal and they agreed.

Mia's sales techniques have taken her employers by surprise and she has recently been promoted to Sales Manager. She will now also oversee the training and co-ordination of Transportable Shade Sheds Distributors Australia-wide as well as its national reseller network, which includes 60 locations. Between running sales workshops, selling sheds and attending conferences and occasional tradeshows, Mia also loves to ballroom dance.

Mia is not one to shy away from a challenge and now has her eyes set on a new target and sales goal. One of Mia's sales tips is to talk "to" the customer, rather than "at" the customer.

In other words listen to the customer and put them at ease by being interested in them.
