THE Maleny Community Pool has suffered two break-ins in the last month. As there is no cash kept on the premises and all equipment is stored away, why are vandals targeting the pool? The obvious dangers for skylarking around in the school/pool complex after dark are enormous and could be fatal.
The Maleny Swimming Club have had discussions with police and Maleny State School and increased security measures are being taken.
The Maleny Swimming Club advises all parents that due to the seriousness and obvious risks, any kids caught trespassing in the pool grounds will be prosecuted and any damages will be recovered. This facility was built and funded by the community, and is run by the Maleny Swimming Club for the community.
