Garden Expo to become annual event |

LAST Friday?s Garden Expo at Beerwah Library and hall paved the way for an annual event.
Caloundra City residents travelled from all parts of the Hinterland and deputy mayor and divisional councillor Anna Grosskreutz said she met one couple who visited from Golden Beach.
?This is the type of community expo we can build on and the foundations were certainly laid last Friday,? Cr Grosskreutz said. ?Our library staff deserve our congratulations as I know they worked far and beyond their normal working hours to ensure there we were given every opportunity to enjoy the expo.?
?Once our library staff have recovered I plan to have a meeting with them to discuss how we can make this an annual event. ?The Garden Expo will need resources and funding to develop it further as an annual event. The council is in budget meetings at the moment I will put an amount aside for this purpose.
