THE Federal budget has approved a $2.5 million one-off contribution to help build what will be the world?s biggest wildlife hospital at Beerwah.

| Mal Brough watches Wildlife Hospital staff treat a koala.
| A Wildlife Warriors Worldwide program, the Australian Wildlife Hospital already caters for over 3000 native animals every year - wildlife that has been hit by cars, attacked by dogs or injured through land clearing.
Through the expanded facility the capacity will more than double.
The new hospital and rehabilitation facility will cover almost three acres with the building itself encompassing a state-of-the-art operating theatre, conference facility, public viewing areas and innovative rehabilitation enclosures.
